The opportunities of regulations related to the operations of payment institutions, as well as the requirements imposed on it, will become tighter as Europe soon adopts specific measures in the implementation of the PSD2 Directive (Payment Services Directive 2). Maksuturva wants to be prepared for these changes to the industry and increasingly focus on Compliance functions and Business Intelligence activities. With this in mind Maksuturva has carried out changes in areas of responsibilities and organization in April.
New cooperation agreement between Maksuturva Group Oy, which is specialized in online payment systems, and Poplatek Payments Oy, a supplier of payment terminals, improves the flow of payment transactions in storefronts.
An increasing number of consumers shop both in online stores and in traditional stores. Consumers require ease of shopping regardless of where the decision to buy and the actual payment are made. A seamless and unified experience is in the interest of the consumer whether shopping in the vendor’s online store or traditional store. Resurs Bank Ab and Maksuturva Group Ltd have taken it as their mission to solve the challenges in multichannel retailing and commenced a close co-operation within Nordic consumer trade. The first one to make use of the new omnichannel solution is Bauhaus Finland in their department stores and online store www.bauhaus.fi.
Maksuturva Group Ltd. has, as the first Finnish payment institution, integrated its payment services to Shopify’s web shop platform, thus making it possible for all Shopify web shops to accept local Finnish and Nordic payment methods. Halti Online Store launched the payment services to its Finnish customers first.
